Oily Skin Tips
If You Have Oily Skin, Make-Up Can Quickly Look Greasy And Shiny.
Therefore, some tips to keep your makeup as beautiful as possible on oily skin.
Overactive Sebaceous Glands
If you have a greasier skin, the sebaceous glands work harder and produce more skin fat. Maybe you always have a bit of oily skin, but you can also temporarily get a fatter skin by changing hormones eg in puberty, if you are pregnant, in the transition or as a result of your diet. There is usually little to do about that.
Make-up on oily skin
If you use makeup on a somewhat greasy skin, the makeup mixes with the skin grease and sweat during the day, making it look shiny and oily. Tips to keep your makeup beautiful for as long as possible.
Before applying makeup, it is best to clean a face with a mild detergent, not oil-based, and preferably especially suitable for oily skin. This removes excess fat, but you do not dry out your skin unnecessarily.
Use a day cream and/or foundation suitable for oily skin, preferably a cream that is non-comedogenic. Non-comedogenic products ensure that the pores of your skin are not clogged. Go for a matte foundation.
A primer is not a luxury for oily skin. It forms, as it were, a foundation for your foundation and ensures that your makeup adheres better and lasts longer. It forms, as it were, a layer that ensures that the fat of the skin does not mix with the makeup. If you want to use a primer, the order is day cream, primer, foundation.
If you still have a shiny face despite the use of a matte foundation, a good quality powder or bronzing powder can solve this. Choose powder in a shade as close as possible to your skin color. Choose bronzing powder if you want to look a bit browner. For this also applies that you choose the best non-comedogenic product. Do not overdo it with powder and apply it only to those parts that you find too shiny.
There are powder blushes and cream-like blushers. If you have oily skin, a powder blush is a better option.
If you want to use eyeshadow, choose a good quality powder eyeshadow. The softer and creamier the eyeshadow is, the worse it stays and collects in the folds of your eyelid.
Tissues at Hand
Make sure you have tissues on hand. With this, you can occasionally dab your skin, without rubbing of course. Your makeup will then look less shiny because you dump the skin grease. There are even special tissues for sale such as Bobbi Brown ‘s blotting papers. But with an ordinary tissue, it is also fine.
